Spades and Games: A Policy Reform Night
Saturday night, February 22nd @6pm
Join us in this interactive event that uses games and conversation to connect Black history to current civic and social issues affecting our communities today. You can expect to take part in team-based games, creative activities, and group discussions that build skills around organizing, communication, and community action. With that said, it is best to bring your best gaming partner, especially to play spades.
The goal is to create a welcoming, low-barrier space for young people to meet each other, learn how to get involved in community organizing, and explore ways to take action around them, whether that’s planning an event, starting a club, or participating in peaceful civic engagement. It starts with all of us, and that is what the night is about.
Everyone is welcome to come out, enjoy great food, play games, and remind ourselves that change starts with us. Limited capacity available. Email about any food allergies or restrictions.
