Join us at our Trees of Liberation Day Celebration on August 27th

Join us for Michigan United’s Trees of Liberation Day on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 9:00 AM–1:00 PM at Kensington Metropark Turtle Head Park in Milford, MI for a day of serenity, tranquility, and to restore peace to democracy.

This space will bring together faith leaders, community advocates, and movement partners to pause the grind, breathe deeply, and reconnect with our shared values and purpose. We believe that liberation is rooted in relationship with the land, within the spirit, and with each other. We will be offering an array of restorative practices like yoga, meditation, and sound healing. There will be speakers from Faith-based reflections from diverse spiritual traditions.

A Tree Decorum, where each organization will decorate a tree with messages of hope, resistance, and remembrance highlighting their organization and togetherness. Movement-building conversations, rest, and reconnection across differences of cultures and ideals.

This is a faith-friendly, movement-focused, and nonviolent space open to all who believe in love, care, and collective liberation.

We invite you to: Attend and bring members of your community. Volunteer or share wellness resources or offer in-kind support like snacks, drinks, or supplies

Let’s ground ourselves in care, collaboration, and movement-building together under the trees.

This is a spiritual space but we will not allow Tarot Cards, Disrespect of religions, Fighting, and Handing out of literature.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation.

We hold health insurers accountable for covered but unpaid benefits. Together, we are working to transform our health care system to put people over profit.

A Transformative Kind of Justice

We believe that we can keep our communities safe from crime and reduce the number of people in prison. We're working to reform the policies of the police, schools, prosecutors, as well as reform sentencing guidelines and improve release services.

The goal of End Gun Violence Michigan is to pass common sense gun violence prevention laws in Michigan that will save lives.

Safe and Fair Elections

We're on a mission to safeguard the integrity of every election, ensuring that the democratic process remains fair, accessible, and representative of all voices.

Immigrant Rights

Join us in our fight for a brighter future, where every person, regardless of their immigration status, is afforded the same rights, opportunities, and respect as any other Michigander.
