Coming Soon: The 2025 Flint Food Summit

The Flint & Genesee Food Summit is a one-day event dedicated to fostering collaboration, sharing knowledge, and celebrating the vibrant local food system in Flint and Genesee County.

This year’s summit, happening Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025, at the Flint Farmers’ Market, focuses on “Celebrating Leaders, Growers, Thinkers, and Eaters of the Flint & Genesee County Food System.” Michigan United is proud to support this important event as a co-sponsor.

Organized by the Flint and Genesee Food Policy Council, the summit brings together a network of food champions whose mission is to develop a resilient and reliable local food system rooted in community engagement, collaboration, and education.

The event aims to unite a diverse group of people and organizations, including local farmers and producers, food entrepreneurs and business owners, community groups working on food access and security, educators and researchers, policymakers and government officials, and passionate community members.

Attendees will have the chance to connect with key stakeholders in the local food system, learn about innovative approaches to sustainable agriculture, food access, and community development, share their own experiences and insights, and contribute to building a stronger, more resilient food system for Flint and Genesee County.

The summit will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, interactive workshops, breakout sessions, networking opportunities, exhibits showcasing local food businesses and organizations, and delicious, locally sourced food and refreshments.

The Flint & Genesee Food Summit is a ticketed event to help cover essential costs such as venue rental, speaker fees, and refreshments, ensuring a high-quality experience for all who attend.

For organizations interested in deeper support and increased visibility, a range of sponsorship opportunities is available. Sponsorship not only helps deliver an impactful event but also shows a strong commitment to building a thriving local food system.
